Milan Township Fire Department

The Milan Township Volunteer Fire Department is made up of 36 highly trained men and women dedicated to protecting the lives and property of residents in both the Township and the Village of Milan. From fires and vehicle accidents—including calls along the Ohio Turnpike—to safety inspections for local businesses, the department responds to a wide range of emergencies with professionalism and care.

The department operates out of two stations: Fire Station #1 on Center Street and Fire Station #2 at the intersection of Route 250 and Route 13. Their fleet includes a ladder truck, two engines, a combination pumper/rescue vehicle, a tanker, two grass fire trucks, and a cargo/personnel carrier—ensuring they’re equipped to handle a variety of calls.

Led by Fire Chief Brian Rospert and Assistant Chief Tom Jesberger, the department combines strong leadership with a deep commitment to service.
