The Zoning Department oversees all land use and zoning matters within the Township. Any new construction, building expansion, or change in land use must receive prior approval from the Zoning Inspector, Patrick Landoll. He is available by appointment at 1518 State Route 113E and can be reached at 419-499-2354.
The Township also maintains two zoning boards that meet on an as-needed basis. The Board of Appeals reviews requests for variances and conditional uses, while the Zoning Commission considers proposed amendments to the Township’s Zoning Resolution—the guiding document for all zoning regulations.
The Township recognizes the importance of keeping the Zoning Resolution responsive to evolving land use needs. Updates are currently under review, and the Zoning Commission holds public hearings as needed to evaluate potential changes.
Before submitting a zoning permit application, residents are encouraged to contact the Zoning Office to determine whether any recent updates or ongoing revisions may affect their project.
