Township Departments
Maintenance issues involving roads, buildings, and parks are managed by 2 full-time employees with additional seasonal help. Day-to-day maintenance is under the supervision of Matt Hudson, assisted by Dave Fox.
The Township owns and maintains approximately 24.5 miles of roads. Snow clearance and salting is a major element of the road program with drainage issues and the maintenance of catch basins occupying a substantial expenditure of resources during non-winter months. Major equipment includes 2 road plows, a smaller plow for subdivisions, a utility truck and backhoe.
The Township owns and maintains the historic Milan Township Hall, the comfort station adjacent to it, and the Township offices at 1518 St. Rt. 113E.
The Township is justifiably proud of Edison Park as a centerpiece of community recreation. Two park pavilions, a baseball diamond, tennis courts, a skateboard park and a sand volleyball park provide variety for many recreational interests. The Park pavilions are in high demand during the summer months and families/groups are urged to reserve time well in advance by calling 419-499-2354.
Our full-time employees are available from 7:00am-3:00pm Monday through Friday. Our personnel are generally out of the office during work hours but messages may be left at 567-401-6014.
