Daniel Frederick - Trustee
A resident of Milan Township since 1977, Daniel Frederick and his wife Tina (Ackerman) live in the Village of Milan with their teenage sons, Zachary and Nicholas. Dan is a graduate of Edison High School, The Ohio State University, and Miami University. As a registered architect, he established Daniel Frederick Architects, LLC in 1994. He has served on the Village of Milan Board of Zoning Appeals for over 15 years. Dan is member of the Milan Chamber of Commerce, Ohio State Alumni Club of Erie County, Milan Historical Society, and the Erie County Farm Bureau. He is active as a football coach with Edison Local Schools and enjoys sailing with the Sandusky Sailing Club.
Gerald Nickoli - Trustee
Since 1987, Jerry and his wife, Robin, have resided at River Birch Farm in Milan Township. They have two grown children, Autumn and Jared. Jerry is a graduate of Western Reserve High School and attended the General Motors Skilled Trades EIT Program. Jerry served on the Milan Township Zoning Board of Appeals for 22 years. He recently retired from Schlessman Seed Company after 38 years. Jerry has been a member of Ohio Farm Bureau for 39 years. He attends St. Anthony’s Church where he serves as an usher and a member of the Finance Ministry and Chair of Church Maintenance. In 2017, Jerry was the recipient of the Ohio’s Lake Erie CREP Achievement Award for conservation practices. He enjoys rural living by vegetable gardening, managing the woods on his farm, hunting, golfing, and spending time with family.
Mike Shover - Trustee
Michael (Mike) Shover and his wife Dawn have been residents of Milan Township since 1983. They have four daughters (Christie, Carrie, Caylie and Carlie)- all attended Edison Schools. Mike is a graduate of Edison High School and Bowling Green State University where he majored in Human Resources and Industrial Relations. He has over 30 years of human resource management experience, with Sandusky Plastics, Inc., Freudenberg-NOK (Milan), and most recently as the Vice President of Human Resources at Bettcher Industries. Mike is a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, The Bowling Green State University Leadership Circle, Milan American Legion and is past president of the Milan Jaycees. He is an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan, and enjoys reading, investing and spending time with his family.
Zachary Rospert - Fiscal Officer
Born and raised in Milan, Zachary began his term as Fiscal Officer in 2016. He is a graduate of Edison High School and The University of Akron, with a B/S in Accounting and Masters of Taxation. A Certified Public Accountant, Zachary began his career at Deloitte in Cleveland before returning to Milan to work as an Economic Development & Financial specialist at Erie County. Zachary also works as the Fiscal Officer for the Milan-Berlin Public Library District. A member of Milan St. Anthony, Zachary sits on their Finance Council and assists with the Youth Group. In his free time he enjoys running, biking and serves as a Volunteer Coach for the Edison High School Cross Country teams.
